Interconnected Choices

When considering our actions, it’s crucial to remember how they will affect others.

Many times, we don’t fully account for the impact our actions will have on others. What might seem like a small event to you can change someone else’s life.

The best way we can take care of each other is by ensuring we take care of ourselves and make choices that benefit everyone. Let’s strive for positive impacts together.

Blessings Overcome Troubles

If you counted all of your blessings, you’d realize that they outweigh your troubles. Both should be acknowledged, but your troubles shouldn’t be dwelled on so much.

We are blessed with so much in life. Each of our lists of blessings is unique to us. Appreciate them all. Fall back on them when times get hard. We always talk about being in the moment, and part of being in the moment is taking time to reflect and be appreciative.

Remember, acknowledging and appreciating our blessings can help us navigate through tough times with grace and resilience.

Embrace Learning

A lot of skills come down to how much practice you want to put in. Most skills are achievable; you can become a great painter, a great athlete, a great instrumentalist, great at math, or anything else. It just comes down to how much practice you put in.

If you’re willing to put in the time and commitment to achieve a skill, you’ll achieve it. It’s that simple. It’s something we don’t have to complicate and something we must accept.

I feel like we should continue to learn new skills as we go through life. It’s something that keeps us alive. Plus, there’s always something new to learn. Learning new skills can be a fulfilling journey that enriches our lives.

Thriving Through Challenges

Sometimes I like to take the stairs even when using the elevator is an option.

Sometimes I like to park far away from the grocery store and walk to the entrance, even when there are much closer parking spots available.

The easiest journey may not always be the most beneficial. There may be times when you have to “take the stairs” in life, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing.

You’ll still get to your destination, and you’ll probably learn more and experience more beneficial things along the way.

Empowering Self-Esteem

I recently met an older man who owns a few businesses. He said that when hiring employees, a must-have is self-esteem. He said he asks certain questions to find out about their self-esteem, and it’s a deal-breaker if they do not have it.

I understand what he means because self-esteem is a must-have for anything that we do in life. Sometimes it’s not our actual skills and abilities that hold us back, but our self-esteem.

We often underestimate what we can actually do. We also often give up or lose confidence and hope when things are hard or when there are uncertainties.

No matter what you do in life, there will be a lot of obstacles or just moments where self-esteem will be one of the only things to get you over that hump. You’ll always have doubters or others that think negatively about you. Just make sure you aren’t one of them.

Importance of Trust

Trust is one of those things that, once established, can be very beneficial for any relationship or situation.

In most situations, it’s a big problem when you don’t have it. It’s something we must earn and something we must give to others. Every day I step outside, I must trust everyone to follow the laws, whether traffic or criminal.

Trust takes much longer to rebuild than it does to build originally, so it’s one of those things you’d be better off not breaking at all. It’s key to try to avoid certain circles or certain people where trust is not a reliable or valued trait because this will protect you from deceit, betrayal, and harm.

Stay True: Your Path to Happiness

No matter the situation, the environment, relationship, or whatever, it’s key to always stay true to yourself.

Don’t change your morals or standards just to please others. Don’t accept things that you feel like you do not need to.

Often, following staying true to yourself comes happiness because no matter the outcome of a situation, as long as you stayed true to yourself, kept your morals and values, and gave it all you got, that’s all you can do.

We can’t control everything in life, but we must control whatever we can, whenever we can. Staying true to yourself is one of those things we can control.
