Mother’s Day is often compared to Christmas, but a gift is only received if a baby has been birthed, lol.

While somewhat true, I believe Mother’s Day is for all women who have fulfilled a maternal role in a child’s life. It is one of the most crucial roles for a child to have present in their life. Something that truly shapes us.

I am grateful to have a great mother, as well as a great wife and mother of my child. Witnessing all that mothers are capable of is amazing.

Mothers help deepen my faith in God. Witnessing the miracle of birth and all the natural gifts God has bestowed upon mothers is astounding. One day could never be enough to show appreciation for all that mothers do, but it is a much-needed day nonetheless. Mothers are truly extraordinary.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. You are appreciated.

Don’t take anything personally. Most of the time, the way someone treats you is really just a reflection of what they are dealing with inside. It may have nothing to do with you.

Sometimes not taking things personally takes empathy, and other times, it takes putting your own ego aside.

Remember, understanding others’ struggles can help you navigate challenging interactions with compassion.

Practicing empathy and humility can lead to healthier relationships and a more peaceful mindset.

By realizing that people’s behaviors often stem from their own battles, you can cultivate a more balanced and forgiving perspective.

Before you do anything, no matter what it may be, you must understand the purpose behind your actions.

Ensure that this purpose is positive and productive, as acting without the right intentions or without knowing the purpose can be counterproductive and lead to issues.

Remember, having a clear and positive purpose behind your actions is crucial for achieving success and avoiding unnecessary problems in the long run.

Sometimes all a squeaky door needs is some WD-40.

Sometimes you may not know how squeaky your door is until WD-40 is applied.

Our problems are often not as big as we think. We also sometimes have problems that can be solved by someone else who has different experience and tools.

Remember, a fresh perspective can make a world of difference.

The best thing to learn is often something you have learned before. No matter what it is—a book, movie, song, etc.—we always learn something new the second or third time around.

We are also forever changing and growing, so different things might resonate with us when relearning them. There are many things that we learned in grade school that would be beneficial to revisit.

Revisiting past learnings can offer fresh perspectives and insights that enrich our understanding of the world.

A baby must often learn how to fall and recover from a fall before they are mentally ready to take their first steps.

Falling from a standing position is intimidating when it’s your first time doing so. After a few tumbles, you get the hang of things, and you also realize falling is not that bad, leading to your ability to walk.

Don’t be afraid to fall in life, for it may be one of the first steps in your journey toward success.

You shouldn’t withhold knowledge from anyone. Why not share it so we can all benefit from it?

In America, we’re taught to capitalize off our knowledge. Some may even withhold knowledge from others unless paid money for it. I know that’s necessary at times for livelihood, but free game is just as good.

I’ve experienced a lot and have gained insights on things that can help others. I plan to always give it to those who are willing to listen. Sharing knowledge freely can benefit everyone.
