Blessing’s Journey

I believe we all have blessings waiting for us, some larger than others. While we may desire these blessings immediately, we may not be prepared to receive them.

It’s possible that you need time to mature or acquire new skills. You may need to learn how to manage what you currently have in order to handle your blessings in the future. Your faith may even be tested before you receive those blessings.

It’s possible that you need to appreciate and utilize the blessings you have now before receiving others.

Sometimes the journey towards our blessings is as significant as the blessings themselves. Stay patient and open to the lessons along the way.

Faith in Consistent Action

What you’re doing right now might not be fully appreciated by yourself and others until much later in time.

There are things I did over five years ago that I appreciate much more now. Much of that stems from faith. I have faith that all the benefits from my actions will eventually come to fruition. I just have to put the work in and be consistent.

Often, the problem is that we don’t put in the adequate amount of time and effort into something. Then, when time goes by and we look back, there’s nothing to see.

So, whatever it is you wish to be or do, start right now. Put the work in now, and the reward will come, either for you or others.

Dependence and Faith

They say that sometimes the only hand you can depend on is the one at the end of your sleeve.

Self-reliance and independence are crucial because ultimately, you must depend on yourself for support and assistance.

Even then, we often let ourselves down. That’s why we should lean on the Lord. Relying on the Lord provides strength, guidance, and support beyond what we can achieve on our own.

Inner Strength

God talks to us in many ways, and it’s up to us to really listen.

The devil talks to us in many ways too, and it’s key for us to not listen.

He might tell you to sleep in, not go work out, be gluttonous, get upset at someone, cheat, steal, or kill.

Whenever you get that inkling that might cause you problems or self-destruction, that could be the devil talking to you. We should all work on our willpower to avoid certain things and continue to make the right choices.

Awakening to Alarms

Last night, the fire alarm went off in our apartment.

It’s a loud alarm that makes noises and talks. It’s not the ideal thing you want to hear at like 4 in the morning when you’re trying to sleep. So I did what most would do in that situation; I lay there in bed, annoyed, until the alarms finally stopped after a few minutes, and I went back to sleep.

Luckily, there wasn’t a dangerous fire actually happening in my building, or I would have been out of luck.

Sometimes God might send us signs or “alarms” in our lives, and we ignore them or aren’t fully aware of them, the same way I treated that fire alarm.

I’ll make sure I’m truly listening to God and all of His ways of talking to me. I’ll work on evacuating the building in the middle of the night when I hear the fire alarm too. One may be easier than the other though, and it’s not the latter.

Heart Over Appearance

“The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Sam. 16:7 NIV).

It is easy to get caught up in physical attributes, jobs, or college degrees. None of those things matter as much as having character, integrity, and simply being a good person.

Focus on your heart first, and everything else will follow. Focus on others’ hearts before getting caught up in materialistic things or their outward appearance.

Christmas: Lessons and Love

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, if not my absolute favorite, because it has taught me so much.

It has taught me that Jesus is the reason for the season. His life story has taught me valuable lessons and guided me through many challenges in life.

This holiday has also taught me the importance of family and loved ones, and how precious our time with them is.

Additionally, it has shown me that one of my love languages is gift-giving, and how expressing appreciation through presents can truly convey our feelings. Furthermore, it has taught me to stay present and appreciate the day for what it truly is.

Choosing happiness is often within our control, and Christmas makes it easier to make that choice. Merry Christmas to all those reading this blog post. I wish you a day filled with love and joy, and I hope you remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. Much love to you all.

Divine Guiding Light

When I reflect on my life and think of all the trials and tribulations that I’ve been through, all the times of uncertainty, and any challenging moments, I realize that God was always there with me throughout the way.

Prayers that seemed unanswered were indeed answered. In the moments of uncertainty, I realize that I was being guided the entire time.

I realize that certain people were put into my life, and certain situations happened exactly when they didn’t need to.

I see all the lessons that were taught to me along the way, and I see that I got through any problems that arose.

I know I’m not special either. Everyone can feel the same way as I do if they reflect on their lives. We should use that reflection and realization that God is always with us, and use it to continue facing challenges with confidence and keeping our faith no matter what.

Nurturing Faith and Character: The Impact of Church Visits

I love bringing my daughter to church every Sunday.

The music, lights, all the people, and the entire environment stimulate her overall cognitive and social-emotional development. Most importantly, it’s building a good foundation for her faith and relationship with God.

Some of my earliest memories are of me going to church with my mom at a very young age. I went on to spend a lot of my adolescent time in the church.

I’m grateful for this because it built a good foundation for me, something that has helped me time and time again throughout my life. It helped shape who I am, my morals, my values, and my character. The teachings from the Bible got me through many trials, tribulations, and times of uncertainty. It’s a blessing to be able to do the same things for my daughter now.

Make sure you are putting yourself and those around you in environments that allow you all to grow into something beneficial and something you’re proud of. Every church visit (or anywhere else you choose to go) matters.

Transformative Giving: Purpose

What is the one thing in life that truly brings you a sense of purpose and fulfillment?

For me, it’s helping others. I have always loved serving others, just as Jesus did and as we are all called to do.

Each of us possesses unique gifts, talents, and skills, and it is important to utilize them in assisting others. Success can be found in helping others, as it often forms the basis of many jobs and businesses—identifying problems and providing solutions.

The principle of “to whom much is given, much is required” resonates with me deeply. I have been fortunate to receive numerous blessings, acquire valuable lessons, and develop skills that can benefit others. Thus, I feel a strong sense of responsibility to give back in any way possible.

I firmly believe that happiness and fulfillment lie in helping others, whether it involves simple acts of kindness like holding a door or more significant endeavors. Ensuring that our life’s purpose revolves around assisting others is crucial.
