Growing up with a lot of siblings can be a fun. Having someone to play with is always a joy.
However, the fun quickly fades when it’s time to play video games and the waiting game begins. The minutes would feel like hours as I patiently waited for my turn while my brothers or sister were engrossed in the game.
Through this experience, I’ve discovered a fundamental truth about myself—I’d much rather be an active player than a mere observer.
This mentality extends beyond gaming. I prefer immersing myself in activities that captivate and bring me happiness, rather than passively watching others enjoy them. After all, why settle for being a spectator when you can be a participant?
While watching my siblings play, I learned the value of patience. It taught me the importance of waiting for my turn, but also instilled a mindset of making the most out of my time to shine.
So, whatever ideas or interests light your fire, go out and pursue them! The joy and fulfillment you’ll experience by actively engaging in your passions far outweigh the pleasure of watching from the sidelines.
Not only will you gain knowledge and skills, but you’ll also excel in your chosen craft. Watching may have its moments, but doing is where true fulfillment lies.
