I love the human body because it tells the objective truth. We often like to lie to ourselves, but the body keeps it real.
The body is just a reflection of our actions. If I eat unhealthy food and do not exercise, my body will soon respond and let me know. I might begin to gain weight, my joints might begin to hurt, my energy might begin to decrease. If I do not take proper care of my dental hygiene, my teeth may decay or change in color. If I don’t get enough sleep, I may get bags under my eyes. No matter the result, I can’t get mad at nobody (no pun intended) but myself for the way I look and feel.
It’s key to become one with our body, and to also listen and respond properly to our body. At all times our body is telling us things. Unfortunately, we don’t always listen. That is bad. In sports, not listening to your body can result to injuries. In life, not listening to your body can result to death.
The body is honest and can teach us about life. It is key to control what we can control. When you properly control your body, it will respond positively.
Another lesson our body can give us is that we are not in control of everything. There are a lot of things that can happen to our bodies like cancers, diseases, sicknesses, that we can not control. That is ok. We must focus on the things that we can control. Can’t worry and stress about things not in our control.
Life is the same way. Our lives are a reflection of our actions. At the same time, there are things in our life that is out of our control. Focus on what you can control, and let God handle the rest. Rather it’s your body or your life, you can control your actions and your attitude. Make sure both are consistent to your body & life goals. If you don’t have any body or life goals, make some. If not, you’re allowing something or someone else to make them for you.
